PIAZZA DEI SIGNORI
A visit to Treviso can only
start from Piazza dei Signori, wich is surraunded by some of the town's
most significat monuments, such at the Palace of the Three Hundred (
Palazzo dei Trecento) whit its remarcable frescoes and decorations,the
town's tower and the Prefecture Palace. The Palace of the Three Hundred
(1217) was a meeting place for the 300 citizens
of the city who made up the High Concil. During the medioval time it
was the court of the town.The Town's Tower is the symbol of the city
and in it there are 2 big bells. Every meeting's Council, every fire,
every possible enemy attack, every flood of the river the bells ring.
Piazza dei Signori is a very beautiful.
